Print on US Letter paper. Use “fit to page” to keep the artwork inside your printer’s margins; for grid activities use the same print setting on both pages. The original JPG is also available if you prefer printing from an image.

How to use this free page

1. Begin with the snowperson’s outer outline and hat.
2. Follow the facial features, hair, scarf, arms, and buttons.
3. Color the hat and scarf, then choose whether to leave the snowy body white or invent another finish.

What the activity asks the artist to do

A snowman coloring search can lead to many different character styles; this sample has its own distinctive hair and accessories. The activity asks the child to follow the printed lines before decorating the result. It is a tracing sample from the Christmas character collection, not a six-step drawing lesson.

An optional idea for the next picture

Compare the outfit with the penguin printable and decide what winter accessory you would design next. The child can sketch that accessory separately or simply explain the idea. One completed snowperson is already a full small art activity.
