What the activity asks the artist to do

A separate grid sheet makes it possible to keep the reference beside the drawing instead of trying to draw on top of it. The labeled boxes are the important part of the pairing. This page contains no character illustration or six-step lesson by itself; choose a reference to make it a complete grid-copying activity.

An optional idea for the next picture

The worksheet can also be a space for an original grid-based picture if the artist prefers invention. For the published copying task, use the matching Christmas references so the box labels line up with the intended artwork.
